Effective July 2026
This explains what we collect and why, in plain language. If anything here is unclear, write to us and we'll answer plainly.
The short version
We collect what we need to give you an accurate assessment and let you buy and keep your results. We do not sell your data. Your assessment answers are yours. Companies using the team feature never see anyone's individual answers or scores. Once a team has three or more people, they do see a team map that names who tends to bring which kind of contribution.
What we collect
Account details: your email address, and a name if you give one, so you can sign in and we can send your results.
Assessment data: your answers to the assessment questions, and the scored results and written interpretation we generate from them.
Tool inputs: if you use the résumé tailor, interview prep, or job match tools, the résumé text and job posting text you paste into that tool, and a company name if you give one.
Product activity: which parts of the site you use, so the site can save your progress and work correctly.
Payment records: when you buy a map, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details. We never see or store your full card number. We keep a record that a purchase happened.
How we use it
To score your assessment and write your interpretation. Generating that written interpretation involves sending your first name (if you gave one, so the write-up can address you) and a plain-language read of your work-style scores to an AI provider. We do not send your email address, your raw answers, or the underlying numbers on this step.
To personalize the résumé tailor and interview prep tools, if you use them. This is a separate step from the report above, and it does send the underlying numbers: your most recent work-style scores, including the numeric scale scores, go to an AI provider along with whatever résumé and job posting text you paste into that tool. It only happens when you actually run one of these tools.
To run the job match tool, if you use it: the résumé and job posting text you paste in, and the company name if you give one, go to an AI provider, which may search the public web for information about that company.
To save your progress across the assessment, course, and résumé tools.
To let you sign in, and to send you your results and account messages.
To operate the team feature for companies: once a team has at least three completed members, the company's admin sees a team map. It names who tends to bring which kind of contribution, for example who naturally keeps things on track, but never anyone's raw answers or scores. Below three completed members, nothing about the team shows at all.
Who we share it with
Service providers who make the product work: our hosting and database provider, our payment processor (Stripe), and the AI provider that generates interpretations. They handle data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of people using the product.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and its data, by writing to us at the address below.
You can stop using the product at any time. Deleting your account removes your assessment data from active use.
How we keep it
We keep your data as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the product and meet legal and accounting obligations. We use reasonable measures to protect it, though no system is perfectly secure.
Contact
Questions about your data, or requests to see or delete it, can go to the contact address at the bottom of this page.
