Terms of use

This is a career assessment and set of tools. Use it honestly and it will give you something useful. It is a self-understanding and career tool, not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and not a guarantee of any job or outcome.

The Career Cartographer gives you an assessment built on validated psychology, a written interpretation, a course, résumé tools, and job tools. Some parts are free. Some require a one-time purchase.

The assessment describes tendencies in how you tend to work. It is a useful mirror, not a verdict, and not a clinical or diagnostic instrument.

You are responsible for the account you sign in with and for the accuracy of what you enter. Give honest answers; the assessment is only as useful as the honesty behind it.

Do not use the product to break the law, to misrepresent yourself to an employer, or to interfere with how the service runs.

Maps are a one-time purchase. When you buy one, you unlock the full assessment and your written interpretation. You can download your map as a PDF and keep it; the tools (résumé tailor, interview prep, job match) come bundled for 30 days.

At present, all four map prices unlock the same current result. Paying more does not buy a more detailed result today; it supports the deeper work being built, and those buyers receive that work first when it is ready. We say this plainly on the pricing page too.

If a purchase does not deliver what it promised, write to us and we will make it right.

A company that runs a team assessment never receives any individual's raw answers or scores. Once at least three people have completed it, the company's admin does receive a team map that names who tends to bring which kind of contribution, for example who naturally keeps things on track or who tends to think outside the box, alongside team-wide patterns. Below three people, nothing about the team is shown. Each person also sees their own full result.

We do not promise a job, an interview, a match, or any specific career outcome. The tools help you understand yourself and present yourself better. The rest is the world, and you.

The product is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

We may update these terms as the product grows. If we make a significant change, we will update the date at the top. Continuing to use the product means you accept the current version.
